About Pondboy

With over 30 years experience of angling Dan still cannot quench his thirst for tight lined watery battles on our area’s rivers and lakes. A multi-species angler at heart PondBoy cannot hold any one species at the top of his list. Dan has fished for many species including many types of sunfish, crappies, carp, largemouth, smallmouth, channel cats, walleyes, sauger, white bass, yellow bass, perch, northern pike, musky, king salmon, steelhead, brown trout, coho salmon, rainbow trout, pickerel, and flathead catfish.

Dan's Team won the worldwide fresh water title for Kayak Wars and He has fished both bass and walleye tournaments, fished Canada several times, and fished Florida. Boat, shore, wading, ice, and fly fishing are all styles he is familiar with. After years of boat and shore fishing, Dan will head to a river for wading if given the opportunity. Artificial baits and flies are two of his biggest strengths. Dan is an expert wader and is a master of presenting live bait with the most efficient techniques, and tackle. He is a expert ice fisherman who is always happy to take new guys out. Showing them how fun it is and that it can extend their angling adventures all year.
